Course Covers Units 4646 & 16705
4646 - Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implication for licensed premises.
16705 - Demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises.
The LCQ is the "prescribed qualification" which the District Licensing Committee requires a person who is applying for or renewing their General Manager's Certificate to hold to demonstrate that they have received "recent and relevant training" as set out in the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
<< Please Read before enrolling on our LCQ Course >>
Entry Requirements -
People with criminal convictions should contact the Licensing Inspector at their local council before enrolling on our LCQ course if they intend applying for a Manager's Certificate once they achieve the LCQ, because certain criminal convictions can be a reason a Manager's Certificate application is declined by the District Licensing Committee.
Although anyone aged 16+ can enrol and be assessed for the 2 units (4646 & 16705) offered on this course a person must be aged 20 or over to apply to the District Licensing Committee for a Manager's Certificate.
Applying for a Managers Certificate - Important - Once you have completed your LCQ training and gained the qualification, you will then need to apply to the District Licensing Committee based at the Council for your Managers Certificate. Successfully completing our LCQ course and obtaining your LCQ Certificate does not necessarily mean that you will be granted a Managers Certificate by the DLC. The application process involves an interview with the Licensing Inspector, and they may also test your knowledge on the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. The DLC decide on your application for a Managers Certificate not us.
Please note the council charge a considerable fee to apply for a Manager's certificate. Our course fee does not include this.
Before enrolling on our course it is recommended that you contact the Licensing Inspector based at your local council for the requirements to apply for a Manager's Certificate or look on your council's website for information.
