Innovative Hospitality - Chef Qualifications, Liquor Licensing and Food Safety

Innovative Hospitality has been delivering hospitality training since 1996. 

  • Licence Controller Qualification Course (LCQ)

    We offer this course as :
    Self Paced $270 (incl GST) - we provide you with a Resource book and you work through the information at your own pace in your own time and contact us when you are ready to be assessed  OR 

    One Day Course $250 (incl GST) in the following regions

Wellington Central- 1 day LCQ courses (8.30am - 5pm approx) are held on a regular basis (usually every 2 weeks).  Click here to see Course Dates
Courses held at the Quest On Johnson Hotel, 35 Johnson Street, Wellington. 

Carterton - 1 day LCQ courses (8.30am - 5pm approx) held on a regular basis. 
Courses held at GV Electrical & Plumbing, 148-152 Belvedere Road, Carterton (Conference Room).

Petone - 1 day LCQ courses (8.30am - 5pm approx) held on a regular basis.  
Courses held at Speights Ale House, 75-81 Jackson Street, Petone. 

Manawatu, Kapiti, Horowhenua & all Other Regions (see Venues page)

Wellington Region- Half Day Food Safety courses are held every second month in Wellington City.
8.30am - 12.20pm approx at the Quest On Johnson Hotel, 35 Johnson Street, Wellington.

Carterton- Half Day Food Safety courses are held on a regular basis. 
Courses held at GV Electrical & Plumbing, 148 - 152 Belvedere Road, Carterton (conference Room).

Petone- Half Day Food Safety courses are held on a regular basis.

  • Liquor Licence Applications (New, Renewals & Temporary Authorities)

For businesses in the Greater Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua & Wairarapa we can assist with applications for On & Off Licences (both new and renewals). 

If you wish to be involved in the sale or supply of liquor to the public or members of a club, and you do not have a current liquor licence, then you will need to make a formal application for a licence.  This is done through the District Licensing Committee (DLC) attached to your local council.   Generally, if there are no complications, it will take approximately six weeks for an application to be processed.

We can select the appropriate licence or licenses for you and can make the application on your behalf.  We can assist you to complete your application to ensure a speedy granting of your licence.
