We offer this course as : SELF PACED in Marlborough, Wellington, Wairarapa, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Greater Auckland areas.
Entry Requirements: Although anyone aged 16+ can enrol and be assessed for the 2 units (4646 & 16705) offered on this course; under the new Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act from 18 Dec 2013 onwards a person must be aged 20 or over to apply to the District Licensing Committee (DLC) based at their local council for a Manager Certificate. Applying for a Managers Certificate - Important - Once you have completed your LCQ training and gained the qualification, you will then need to apply to the District Licensing Committee based at the Council for your Managers Certificate. Successfully completing our LCQ course and obtaining your LCQ Certificate does not necessarily mean that you will be granted a Managers Certificate by the DLC. The application process involves an interview with the DLC to determine if you are an appropriate person to be responsible for alcohol sales and service. They will also test your knowledge on the Sale & Supply of Liquor Host Responsibility. Please contact the DLC based at your local council for the requirements to apply for a Manager's Certificate or look on your local council website for information. For information on the changes to the law that come into effect under the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 please click on the following link to the Ministry of Justice website. http://www.justice.govt.nz/policy/sale-and-supply-of-alcohol
